Another Hiking Day_Eaton Canyon Falls

Eaton Canyon fall

On Sat, We met early in the morning. we drove on the 210 Freeway, exit at sierra Madre Blvd.

The trail is three miles round trip, the grade is gentle, easy rambling up stream bed to the falls, and the hike is mostly in shade so it was a much better walk, you cross the stream several times, and you have to find your own way among rocks, it's pretty fun.

This is a good one and the scenery was beautiful I've experienced in local mountains. The waterfall is a nice landmark. I thought if you jumped into the waterfall, it should very refreshing. After we finished trail, we enjoyed dessert from Lawrence family again. I was so lucky have good company with me. On next time, I will bring towel and pack snacks. Please make sure take care your own trash. Jesse took all other people trash back with him.

This is my illustration work for me and my pat.

We brought him home about 3 years ago. We used to lived in a house so I was not worried about he barked at day, but now it's hard for living in condo. He barks when visiting home from friends, or listening new/suspicious person.

except this, When I was doing my works till midnight, Pat always want to be around me, and I like to spend time with him. Here is the one I drew my dog and me at the bad hair day. Love me and Love my Pat!!

Pat 來我們家巳經三年半了。他唯一最大的長處就是整天叫。只要從空氣中飄來一點雜音，一個都別想放過。除了這個以外，他總是陪在我的身邊，無論我做功課，或看電腦多晚。我常對著他說話，他總是安靜的坐在那裡聽，我總認為他聽的懂。在還沒搬來之前，租房子總碰到叮子，其實是因為他的關係。然後有人居然想把他送走，有一天晚上我對著他說，我一定可以找到“我們”的房子，說也奇怪，現在這個地方，在一個星期後屋主就決定把房子租給我們。

今天我拿了一張水彩紙畫下我們，再花了三小時用電腦也做一張。你看看，都半夜了。

Shoemaker Canyon Road "The Road to Nowhere"

From freeway 210 in Azusa, took Hwy 39 north about 12 miles to the junction at the East Fork road, then crossed the bridge and drove about 3 miles to Shoemaker Canyon Road on the left. turned left and drove 2 miles to the locked gate.

the hike was almost entirely in the open with no shade in hot weather. I was glad I have hat with me this time. After 20 minutes from the entrance to the first tunnel.

In about 8 minutes left the tunnel, walked another 10 minutes is the entrance to the second tunnel. this one is shorter than the first.

you were saw "LOVE" with small square tiles and painted "HATE" on the wall just inside on the right.

past this second tunnel was where the maintained road ends, we turned around and head back.we enjoyed green bean soup from Lawrence family. Thanks they brought us food, it's delicious!!

Bliss_an art journal

my everyday life provides inspiration for my artworks: I see pictures in a magazine, texture from nature, design from stores, and learn from different artists from online tutorials. I haven't try mix media before, after watched people works, I totally love their free styles, jot down ideas whatever come out your mind and rarely stick to any rules .... .

"Bliss" is 9" x 7" big, the supplies I used : gesso (of course), magazine cutout, alcohol inks, watercolor crayons, markers, circle templates, distress inks, and canvas paper, there's texture on the top of it and they are heavy weight, they are good to mixed media and collage for me.

我每天睜開眼睛都覺得生活充滿驚喜，我慢跑，逛書局，逛公園，四處盯著瞧，有點白痴，坐在電腦前想著白日夢，將來會是多棒的藝術家。一心想著夢想的藝術學校，雖然日子過的不盡人意，但我每天仍感謝能看見太陽高高的日子，讓我認為所有仍充滿希望。

Bliss 是我第一張mix media 成積單，大小大概9" x 7"，材料來自撕雜誌（過隱），各種油墨, 還有想塗什麼就畫什麼上去，讓我愈來愈愛不釋手。然後我用了幾種不同的紙，覺得canvas paper 最好用，又厚，放幾層都沒問題。

Echo Mountain Sam merrill Trail

I was invited to hike with my coworkers, we met at the parking lot of the 99 cent store at 7:45 am. there's 10 people joined this time, we went from I-210, exit at Lake Ave, then drive about 4 miles to the end of Lake Ave. The hike began to the gateway on the east side of the street.

The hike distance was about 5 miles round trip. I kind of freaked out because the roads steep ( ok, a little bit) and it felt like a challenge to me. I will say the trail was well maintained. I was glad today was not hot. If it's summer time, I thought the heat will make this hike uncomfortable if you do it afternoon.

We took about 3.5 hours hike time, walk along the edge of the mountain all the way top. The view at the top was spectacular. I was glad showed up in the Echo phone, absolutely love this hike.

一大早七點多剛集合時還和大家有點生疏，因為這是我第一次參加，有那麼一點想回家睡個大頭覺算了。開了不久就到正門口。嚴格說起來來健行的人還真不少，空氣也不錯，想一想開始有點興奮。不過走了一小時之後我就後悔了，落了個最後一個，不過他們都好好，一直停下來了等我。三個半小時之後終於到了山頂，當然前頭的人早到了，又為我歡呼終於活著到了山頂。山頂上有一個回音桶，我們幾個人試了一下，當然不包括我，使命的吼，幾秒後還真的有回音，雖然回家後躺到起不來，但回到以前愛戶外的日子，興奮又感動。
